Abstract Submission Guidelines
  • Abstract must be written in English
  • Abstract text max. 200 words (without figures, only text)
  • Only the first letter of the title should be capitalized.
  • Your abstract will not be proofread prior to publication in the abstract volume
  • No more than 2 abstracts submitted by the same presenting author
  • When you submit your abstract, you will be asked to select your intended participation format (oral or poster)
  • When you submit your abstract, you will be asked to select the symposium. Please read the descriptions of the symposia carefully to ensure your work is properly framed
  • The presenting author is required to register for the congress before April 15, 2027 so that the paper can be listed in the final programme and its summary published in the abstracts book.

A limited number of oral presentations will be scheduled. Accepted abstracts that are not selected for oral presentations will be assigned as posters.

Take note
  • Presenting authors will have access to their abstracts until the deadline and will have the option to edit submitted abstracts and submit additional ones.
  • All correspondence related to the abstract will be sent to the presenting authors’ email address.
  • Presenting authors will be asked to select the topic under which the abstract will be submitted, but the conference organizers reserve the right to reassign the accepted abstract to a different category if deemed more appropriate.
  • Once the abstract has been successfully submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the presenting author. If you do not receive confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact scientific@ecers2027.org.
Presenting author
  • If your abstract is accepted, the presenting author must be registered for the Conference before April 15, 2027.
  • Failure to comply with the registration deadline may result in exclusion from the program.
Presentation types
  • Oral presentations: If selected for an oral presentation, you will be given a timeslot. More information will be sent when your abstract has been accepted.
  • Poster presentations: If selected for a poster presentation, you will present your work in a dedicated poster session during the Congress.

How do I know my abstract has been submitted successfully?
Once your abstract has been successfully submitted, the presenting author only will receive an email acknowledgement from the online submission system. If you do not receive this email, it could mean your abstract is incomplete. Please double-check and try submitting it again.

When will I find out if my abstract has been accepted for presentation?
ECerS 2027 will send an email notification to the presenting author in February 2027. Only the person listed as the presenting author will receive this notification. The presenting author is then responsible for notifying any co-authors. Notifications will be sent to all presenting authors whether the abstract is accepted or rejected.

On June 27-July 1, 2027 the XX Conference of the European Ceramic Society takes place in Valencia, Spain. The conference will include a technical program consisting of invited lectures, contributed papers and posters.
